American International Group Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

AIG Parent and its subsidiaries face restrictions and challenges related to liquidity, capital, and financing. Regulatory limits constrain dividend payments from insurance subsidiaries, and obtaining approvals for extraordinary distributions may be difficult. If liquidity is insufficient, the company may need to secure third-party financing, with availability and cost influenced by market conditions, credit ratings, and regulatory actions. Collateral posting requirements for insurance subsidiaries may increase due to regulatory changes. The investment portfolio includes less liquid assets such as fixed income, structured and privately placed securities, private funds, joint ventures, mortgage loans, and real estate, which may be difficult to sell under stressed market conditions and could result in sale prices below carrying values.
