Partial Remission PR

Health Care Term

Partial Remission (PR) is a term used in the healthcare industry to describe a state in which a patient*s symptoms have improved, but have not completely disappeared. In other words, there is still evidence of the disease or condition, but the patient*s overall health and wellbeing are better than they were previously.

The concept of partial remission is often used in the treatment of chronic illnesses such as cancer and autoimmune diseases, where a complete cure may not be possible but symptom management and control are important for maintaining the patient*s quality of life.

During partial remission, healthcare professionals may continue to monitor the patient*s condition and adjust their treatment plan as needed to maintain the level of improvement. This may include continued medication or therapy, lifestyle changes, or other interventions.
