CSIMarket's core value is normalization: every company and every industry is measured on one
consistent set of definitions, which is what makes it usable for peer benchmarking, screening,
factor research, credit analysis, and grounding AI/LLM applications — a model reasons more
reliably from "this company's ROA vs. its industry median" than from raw, inconsistently-tagged
SEC filings. Metric *values* are license-gated; the API's *metadata* (catalog, schema, field
definitions, coverage) is public and free.

## Two ways for an AI to use CSIMarket

All three paid tiers include the same data breadth (fundamentals, quant factors, ownership,
relationships, share prices and market performance) — the differentiators are seat/location scope
and whole-universe bulk export, not which metrics are available. Two download products, often
confused: **custom per-report downloads** (CSV/Excel/PDF, generated on demand) are on every paid
tier; **bulk all-companies dataset export** is Enterprise only.
