KWh

Energy Term

Kilowatt-hour (kWh) is a unit of energy commonly used in the energy industry to measure electricity consumption or generation over a specific period. One kWh is equal to the energy required to use one kilowatt (1,000 watts) of power for one hour. In other words, if you have a 1,000-watt appliance running for one hour, it will use 1 kWh of electricity.

KWh is used to measure the energy usage of households, buildings, and industrial facilities. The energy utility companies also use it to measure the energy consumption of their customers and bill them accordingly.
