D R Horton Inc's Comment on Supply Chain

The company’s operations depend on raw materials, skilled labor, and financing. It engages subcontractors who must adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning zoning, development, building, environmental standards, labor, and real estate sales. The company ensures compliance with environmental regulations and inspections conducted by local authorities and federal agencies, including the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Its construction and land development activities are subject to various health, safety, and environmental statutes that differ by location and site conditions. The company considers itself materially compliant with these regulations and does not anticipate adverse financial impacts. However, new regulations, such as climate-related disclosure laws in California, may increase compliance costs. The company’s mortgage division complies with extensive state and federal laws overseen by agencies including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Federal Housing Finance Agency, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, FHA, VA, USDA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.
