Cimpress operates in a competitive, fragmented, and geographically dispersed market for mass customization products. The company and its competitors employ a mass customization model that enables small-volume production of personalized, high-quality products at affordable prices. Cimpress competes based on factors including product breadth and depth, price, convenience, quality, technology, design tools and assistance, customer service, ease of use, and production and delivery speed. Cimpress is the largest business in this sector but represents a small portion of the overall market, which has significant growth potential. VistaPrint is identified as a competitor, noted for initially offering basic white t-shirts and free business cards targeting price-sensitive micro-businesses.
