Competitors in the PAP market include ResMed Inc., Philips BV, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation Limited, and various regional and new-entrant manufacturers. In the US, the only direct neurostimulation competitor is Nyxoah SA and its subsidiary Nyxoah, Inc., which provide an open-loop, bilateral stimulation system without a respiratory sensor. LivaNova PLC has submitted an FDA application for a hypoglossal nerve stimulation device in the US. Outside the US, Nyxoah and LivaNova market similar second-line therapies. Additionally, Apnimed is developing a pharmaceutical treatment for OSA currently in Phase 3 trials, and the GLP-1 drug Zepbound (tirzepatide) received FDA approval in December 2024 for OSA treatment.
