The company operates in a highly competitive environment across its core radio franchise and complementary media properties. Its competitors include other radio stations, broadcast and cable television, internet companies, satellite radio, newspapers, magazines, direct mail, and outdoor advertising. Larger media companies with greater resources may also expand their presence in the company's markets. In the Digital and Cable Television segments, the company competes for internet users' and viewers' attention, advertisers, and advertising revenues with internet companies such as Amazonâ„¢, Netflixâ„¢, Yahoo!â„¢, Googleâ„¢, and Microsoftâ„¢, as well as social networking sites like Facebookâ„¢ and TikTokâ„¢.
