The company operates in a competitive environment that includes both bank and non-bank financial services sectors. Its competitors encompass regional and national banks, non-bank commercial finance and factoring companies, commercial banks, savings associations, credit unions, consumer finance companies, pension trusts, mutual funds, insurance companies, mortgage bankers and brokers, brokerage and investment banking firms, non-bank lenders, government agencies, and other non-financial institutions. In its transportation payments business, the company also competes with software providers and financial technology firms. Many competitors possess greater assets, capital, lending limits, and resources, allowing for more extensive promotional activities.
