Procept Biorobotics's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company operates in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) treatments. Its Aquablation therapy, delivered through robotic systems, offers a distinct approach; however, current and future products face competition from companies with greater financial, technical, and marketing resources. Competitors often have larger customer bases, broader relationships, longer operating histories, stronger brand recognition, and have addressed reimbursement challenges. Primary competitors include resective surgical treatments such as devices used in the transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) procedure and laser-based therapies marketed by Boston Scientific Corporation. The company also competes with non-resective and non-surgical treatments, including UroLift marketed by Teleflex Incorporated and Rezum marketed by Boston Scientific Corporation.
