Myomo Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company operates in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry. Its competitors may develop products that are safer, more effective, less costly, or easier to use, potentially affecting the company's market position. The company sells to orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) providers who may also market competing products. The market for myoelectric braces is relatively new with uncertain adoption rates. Competitors offering devices that enable patients with lower extremity paralysis to stand and walk include Lifeward, Ekso Bionics, and Cyberdyne. MicroTransponder, Inc. markets implanted devices that stimulate the vagus nerve to aid upper extremity movement recovery. New products competing with the company's MyoPro have been introduced by Neurolutions in the United States and by Vincent Systems and HKK Bionics in Germany. The company holds 35 issued patents covering the MyoPro Motion G product, which facilitates movement of multiple joints.
