Mueller Industries Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company faces competition from various firms depending on the product line. In the U.S. copper tube market, domestic competitors include Cerro Flow Products LLC and Cambridge-Lee Industries LLC, a subsidiary of Industrias Unidas S.A. de C.V., along with numerous foreign competitors. In Europe, the copper tube business competes with several European-based and other foreign manufacturers. In Canada, competition in the copper tube market primarily comes from foreign-based manufacturers. In the copper fittings market, domestic competitors include NIBCO, Inc., as well as several foreign manufacturers. Additionally, both the copper tube and fittings segments encounter competition from numerous manufacturers producing substitute products made from other metals and plastics.
