Imperial Oil Limited's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The Canadian energy and petrochemical industries are competitive sectors engaged in sourcing and developing new supplies, constructing and operating pipelines and facilities, and refining, distributing, and marketing petroleum products and chemicals. These industries also compete with other sectors to provide energy, fuel, and chemical products to industrial and individual consumers. Some participants, including Imperial, are increasing investments in lower-emission energy and emission-reduction technologies and services.
