Culp Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The bedding market is concentrated among a few large suppliers, including Culp, with principal competitors such as BekaertDeslee Textiles and Global Textile Alliance, alongside several smaller companies producing knitted fabrics and covers, including some based in China. Customers in the bedding sector also face competition from imports of finished beds. In the upholstery market, competition is more diverse, involving manufacturers comparable in size to Culp as well as smaller producers and converters. Key competitors in upholstery include Crypton, Dorell Fabrics Co., Morgan Fabrics, Richloom Fabrics, Specialty Textile, Inc., and ZhongWang Fabrics, in addition to numerous smaller firms. The upholstery industry has become more fragmented due to increased overseas competition and a rise in the number of converters entering the market, which has lowered barriers to entry and expanded the competitive landscape.
