We think that the combined benefits of our integrated ecosystem of software solutions provide a compelling and entirely unique value proposition for Black Knight. Our economies of scale in the home loan origination and servicing sectors provide us a significant competitive edge in each of these areas. Based on our expertise of the market and our rivals, we feel that no one competitor can provide the depth and breadth of solutions that we can.
Software Development. Our Software Solutions business competes with a) our clients own technology departments and b) other providers of similar solutions, such as the Mortgage Technology segment of Intercontinental Exchange and Sagent Lending Technologies. The quality of the technology-based application or service, application features and functionalities, simplicity of delivery and integration, the providers capacity to maintain, extend, and support the applications or services, and price are all competitive criteria. We think that our ability to supply proven solutions, integrated software solutions, our solution adoption rate, and the economies of scale we provide in the mortgage loan processing market give us a competitive edge in each of these areas.

Analytics and data We compete largely in our Data and Analytics area with CoreLogic, in-house capabilities, and select specialist vendors. We compete on the breadth and depth of our data, as well as the exclusivity of certain of our core data sets, sophisticated proprietary algorithms, and the ability to provide highly personalized reports. The breadth of our data sources, including non-public sources; the volume of records we maintain; our ability to integrate our data and analytics across the Black Knight ecosystem; and our ability to leverage our market-leading position in the mortgage loan origination and servicing industries all contribute to the high quality of data we provide.
