Black Diamond Therapeutics Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company operates in a highly competitive industry characterized by rapid technological changes. It faces substantial competition from major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide, many of which possess greater financial, technical, and human resources. Smaller and early-stage companies also represent significant competitors, particularly through collaborations with larger firms. Competitors may discover, develop, license, or commercialize products before or more successfully than the company. The company’s current and future product candidates, especially targeted therapies for genetically defined cancers, face competition. In particular, for the EGFR pathway, the company expects to compete against compounds including the combination of amivantamab, or Rybrevant, and other agents used in patients with EGFR acquired resistance.
