Description of Positron's Business Segments
The Company operates as a single reportable segment, as its Chief Operating Decision Maker, the Chief Executive Officer, reviews the business in its entirety rather than by separate components. In accordance with FASB ASC 280, Segment Reporting, the Company has determined that it does not have multiple reportable segments meeting quantitative thresholds. Major expenses contributing to loss from operations and net loss include cost of sales, general and administrative expenses, net interest expense, and amortization of debt discount. The Company adopted ASU 2023-07 effective December 31, 2024, which requires disclosure of segment profit or loss measures and significant segment expenses; however, this adoption did not alter the identification of reportable segments or materially affect segment-related disclosures.
