Catalyst Pharmaceuticals Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The competitive landscape includes the anticipated entry of generic competitors for FYCOMPA® following the expiration of the '571 patent on May 23, 2025, which is expected to result in a decline in net product revenue. Royalties are paid to licensors based on net sales, with these obligations continuing until the earlier of the 12th anniversary of U.S. approval or the entry of a U.S. generic competitor. Milestone payments were earned upon DyDo receiving product approval to commercialize FIRDAPSE® in Japan. Cost of sales includes royalties payable under license agreements. Competitors identified include DyDo.

Weaknesses

No rule matched.

Opportunities

  • Trades at a lower P/E than the industry average (14.3x vs 25.1x) despite a higher return on invested capital -- a possible re-rating opportunity.

Threats

No rule matched.
