Description of Zspace Inc
The company provides augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) educational technology products primarily for K-12 schools in the United States, the Career & Technical Education (CTE) sector, and select international markets. Its proprietary hardware and software platform delivers interactive, stereoscopic 3D learning experiences without the need for VR goggles or specialty glasses. The platform supports STEM lessons and skilled trades training in areas such as health sciences, automotive engineering and repair, Unity3D software programming, and advanced manufacturing. The company sells directly to U.S. school districts and community colleges and utilizes resellers internationally. Its platform is implemented in over 3,500 U.S. public school districts, including more than 80% of the largest 100 districts by enrollment. The product suite includes Inspire and Imagine laptops, which provide autostereoscopic 3D graphics without eyewear, and patented tracked styluses for precise interaction with virtual objects. Software offerings include platform management and educational applications developed internally and by third parties. Services encompass implementation and professional development, supported by a U.S. trainer network and international resellers. Manufacturing is outsourced to third-party OEMs and contract manufacturers, including a major PC OEM for laptops and a partner in China for stylus assembly. Third-party developers supplement internal teams to expand educational content.
