Camelina is being developed in North America as a non-food oilseed crop for biofuels such as renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. Oilseed crushers and energy companies are increasing demand for low carbon intensity feedstock oil. Camelina can be grown as a spring rotation crop and as a winter cover crop, enabling two oil harvests per acre each year.
