Wynn Resorts Limited's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The casino resort industry operates in a highly competitive environment across multiple regions. In Macau, competition involves other high-quality resorts competing on amenities, service, price, location, entertainment, themes, and size. In Las Vegas, the largest U.S. gaming market, competition is intense among high-quality resorts and hotel casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, with several new large-scale integrated resorts recently completed nearby. In Massachusetts and the New England region, Encore Boston Harbor competes with commercial and Native American casinos, including two Native American casinos in Connecticut, two casinos in Rhode Island, and MGM Springfield in Massachusetts. Regulatory differences across states, such as gaming taxes and permitted amenities, influence competitive dynamics. Additional competition arises from other legalized gaming and leisure operations, including state lotteries, horse racing, online gaming, and sports betting.
