Tamboran Resources's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

Tamboran operates in a competitive environment for evaluating and acquiring oil and natural gas properties, facing challenges due to comparatively fewer financial and human resources than many industry companies. Competition arises not only from other natural gas producers but also from alternative energy and fuel sectors, including coal, other petroleum products, and renewables. The competitive landscape is affected by potential energy legislation and regulations imposed by the Australian government, which may increase development costs or delay operations. Larger or more integrated competitors may have greater capacity to absorb regulatory burdens. Competitors in the Northern Territory, including Tamboran, are subject to similar risks and regulatory requirements, such as compliance with the Petroleum Environment Regulations and the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (Cth) concerning greenhouse gas emissions reporting.
