Description of Spire Inc
Spire Inc., established in 2000, is a holding company overseeing subsidiaries including Spire Missouri Inc., Spire Alabama Inc., Spire Gulf Inc., Spire Mississippi Inc., and Spire Marketing Inc. Spire Missouri was founded in 1857, and Spire Alabama originated in 1948 from the merger of two gas companies. The company operates primarily through two segments: Gas Utility and Gas Marketing. The Gas Utility segment encompasses the regulated operations of its regional subsidiaries, while the Gas Marketing segment, through Spire Marketing Inc., provides natural gas marketing services such as supply, price risk management, transportation, and storage to municipalities, commercial and industrial customers, and power generators.

The Midstream segment includes Spire STL Pipeline LLC ("Spire STL Pipeline"), Spire MoGas Pipeline LLC ("Spire MoGas Pipeline"), and Spire Storage, which encompasses the operations of Spire Storage West LLC and Spire Storage Salt Plains LLC; these subsidiaries are engaged in the transportation and storage of natural gas. Additional components include subsidiaries involved in propane pipeline operations and risk management, as well as unallocated corporate items such as certain debt and related interest costs.
