Microvision Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company operates in a competitive and rapidly evolving market for lidar sensors and autonomy and mobility solutions. Its competitors include pure-play lidar developers, many of which have raised and utilized significant capital and established partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and contract manufacturers. The company also competes with industrial and automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers that have developed lidar sensors internally. These OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers are larger, better resourced, have longer operating histories, and possess established brand recognition. Additionally, many lidar developers are creating ADAS solutions that compete with the company's offerings. The industry experiences rapid technological advancements, and competitors may introduce innovations that could render the company's technology or products commercially unviable or obsolete. The company may face challenges in securing sufficient funding to invest in new technologies, products, or processes despite its belief in the potential advantages of its technology.
