The company operates two reportable segments based on the geographic locations of its subsidiaries: FEI-NY and FEI-Zyfer, Inc. The FEI-NY segment includes FEI Government Systems, Inc., FEI Communications, Inc., and, until April 30, 2026, FEI-Elcom. FEI-NY designs and manufactures precision time and frequency products, as well as quantum sensing products, primarily for commercial and U.S. Government satellite markets, U.S. Department of War customers, and wireless communications network providers. FEI-Elcom, within FEI-NY, designs and manufactures RF microwave modules and subsystems, and provides design and technical support. FEI-Zyfer manufactures precision time references for terrestrial secure communications, command and control, and frequency products that incorporate GPS technology, supporting various timing functions and anti-spoofing applications. Segment performance is measured by total revenues, cost of revenues, and profits generated by each geographic center.
