The Company operates in a competitive environment that includes national and larger regional banks and financial institutions with local presence, which possess greater financial resources and the capacity to offer larger loans. It also competes with government-sponsored enterprises that provide commercial real estate loans for apartments, multi-family, and senior housing projects under competitive terms. The market area includes numerous local savings banks, commercial banks, cooperative banks, and credit unions. Additionally, internet-based banks, non-bank electronic payment and funding channels, and other technology-driven financial intermediaries, including the Fintech sector, represent significant and rapidly growing competitors, as well as potential partners.
