Cyclerion Therapeutics Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company has agreed not to compete with Tisento Therapeutics through July 2028 in the development or commercialization of CNS-penetrant sGC stimulators that could compete with purchased programs. Tisento Therapeutics recently initiated dosing of the first patient in its global Phase 2b PRIZM study investigating zagociguat for MELAS. The company expects competition from major and specialty pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies, as well as academic institutions, governmental agencies, and medical research organizations. Several biopharmaceutical companies have therapies in clinical development for treatment-resistant depression (TRD), including psychedelic-related therapies, though none have been approved. The company anticipates competing with the current standard of care and any new therapies that may become available.
