Cementos Pacasmayo Saa's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The cement market in Peru is competitive and primarily served by three main groups, along with smaller producers and imports. In August 2024, Holcim Ltd, a Swiss-based company, entered the Peruvian construction market by acquiring Compañía Minera Agregados Calcareos S.A. (Comacsa), an aggregates and white cement producer, and Mixercon S.A., a cement grinding facility with concrete operations located in Lima. In early 2025, Holcim Ltd also acquired Compañía Minera Luren, a company specializing in marketing quicklime and silico-lime. The market faces potential increased competition from foreign manufacturers and imported clinker, cement, or other materials, which may affect prices and market share. Risks include new entrants, price competition, and the need for ongoing product development.
