Connectone Bancorp Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The banking industry is highly competitive, with numerous commercial banks, savings banks, and savings and loan associations, many of which have larger assets, capital, and lending limits. Additional competitors include money market mutual funds, mortgage bankers, insurance companies, stock brokerage firms, regulated small loan companies, credit unions, and issuers of commercial paper and other securities. Non-bank technology firms and fintech companies also compete by offering products independently or through partnerships with insured depository institutions. Larger competitors typically have greater financial resources for advertising. The company competes by offering personal service, client access to decision-makers, competitive interest rates and fees, and by recruiting and retaining qualified employees seeking increased responsibility.
