VeThor Token (VTHO) is a cryptocurrency that was created by VeChain (VET), a blockchain technology company that specializes in supply chain management and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. It is the native token of the VeChainThor blockchain, which is designed to enhance the transactional capacity of the VeChain network and help facilitate transactions between the VeChain ecosystem and external networks.
VTHO is a utility token that is used to pay for network transaction fees on the VeChainThor blockchain. It functions as the gas that powers the VeChainThor blockchain, and it is used to facilitate all transactions on the network. The transaction fees for the VeChainThor blockchain are calculated in VTHO, and users must have a certain amount of VTHO in their wallets to be able to send transactions on the VeChain network.
The total supply of VTHO is derived from the total number of VET held in a wallet, and it is calculated on a daily basis. The VTHO generation rate is adjusted automatically based on supply and demand, and it is designed to ensure that the transaction fee costs remain stable and predictable.
