HBAR-USD
Hedera Hashgraph is a decentralized public ledger technology that aims to offer a highly secure and stable platform for building decentralized applications. It is also a blockchain alternative designed to be more efficient, scalable, and faster than traditional blockchains.
HBAR-USD is the native cryptocurrency of Hedera Hashgraph, which is essential to the functioning of the blockchain. The HBAR is used to pay for network and transaction fees and reward nodes for participating in the network's maintenance.
One of the most significant features of HBAR is its fast transaction processing time. Unlike traditional blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum's Proof of Work (PoW) consensus algorithm which can take several minutes or even hours to process transactions, Hedera Hashgraph's consensus algorithm called "Gossip protocol" can process hundreds of thousands of transactions per second or even millions of transactions per hour. This makes it an ideal platform for developing high-transaction volume applications such as micropayments, gaming, advertising, and more.
Another unique feature of HBAR-USD is its high security level. Hedera Hashgraph uses a Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) consensus algorithm that ensures the safety of transactions while also enabling users to transact anonymously. The BFT consensus algorithm is designed to provide resilience against node failures and prevents malicious nodes from taking control of the network.
Furthermore, HBAR-USD has attractive economic characteristics, including fixed transaction fees and predictable inflation. According to its economic model, the total number of HBAR-USD tokens that can be in circulation is limited to 50 billion. The inflation rate is also predictable and gradually decreases over time to maintain the stability of the network.
