It operates primarily in Hong Kong through its subsidiaries, I Win Securities Limited and I Win Asset Management Limited. The company conducts its business in Hong Kong dollars, with financial reporting in U.S. dollars. Garden Stage's operations involve licensed representatives, referred to as account executives, who are self-employed and share brokerage income from client referrals. The company employs front office solutions, developed internally or sourced from third parties, to connect trading facilities to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's Automatic Order Matching and Execution System. Its subsidiaries hold licenses under the Securities and Futures Ordinance of Hong Kong to conduct regulated activities, including securities dealing. Garden Stage manages assets under management and adheres to the Code of Conduct for persons licensed or registered with the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. The company's financial statements reflect foreign currency exchange rate fluctuations through translation gains or losses. Market insights are derived from third-party industry data and internal estimates. Garden Stage functions as a financial services holding company focused on securities brokerage and asset management in Hong Kong.
The Group operates a single reportable operating segment in accordance with ASC 280, Segment Reporting. The chief operating decision maker (CODM), consisting of the Group's CEO and CFO, reviews consolidated results for decision-making, resource allocation, and performance evaluation. Revenue is disaggregated by service type, but expenses are assessed only on a consolidated basis without allocation to segments. All business activities and operations are conducted in Hong Kong, with no significant long-lived assets outside the region. The CODM evaluates performance based on segment net loss, which corresponds to consolidated net loss, taking into account strategic priorities, cash balance, and anticipated cash usage. Segment assets equal total consolidated assets as reported on the consolidated balance sheet. Provision for income taxes is included in both segment and consolidated net loss.
