Description of Gridai Technologies
GridAI Technologies Corp., formerly Entero Therapeutics, Inc., operates in two primary sectors: energy orchestration and grid optimization software through its subsidiary Grid AI Corp., and legacy biopharmaceutical development focused on Adrulipase for treating exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. The company changed its name and Nasdaq symbol in December 2025 following its acquisition of Grid AI Corp., which owns AMPX UK Holdings and its operating subsidiary AMPX Limited. Grid AI Corp. develops software aimed at accelerating power availability and optimizing energy infrastructure for AI data centers and large energy users. Its AI data center platform, currently in development with no revenue, optimizes distributed energy resources such as battery storage, on-site generation, and grid interconnections. The commercial pipeline is expanding through consulting and business development efforts targeting AI data center developers, hyperscalers, and energy infrastructure developers primarily in North America and Australia. Legacy technologies include DLS, a front-of-meter optimization platform, and ALICE, a home energy management system, both generating minimal revenue and currently focused on data centers. The company has discontinued other biopharmaceutical programs and completed a rescission transaction to divest ImmunogenX. Adrulipase development continues through its subsidiary First Wave Bio, Inc., alongside ongoing corporate activities.
The company operates two reportable segments: the artificial intelligence-driven energy technology business (AI Segment) conducted through Grid AI Corp. and its subsidiaries, including AMPX, and the legacy biotechnology operations focused on gastrointestinal therapies (GI Segment), which includes retained biopharmaceutical development activities such as Adrulipase. The AI Segment began generating revenue following the acquisition of Grid AI Corp. on September 30, 2025, primarily from software-enabled energy orchestration, optimization, dispatch, monitoring, and related services. The GI Segment has historically not generated product revenue and does not expect to do so unless a product candidate receives regulatory approval and is commercialized. Research and development expenses are primarily related to the GI Segment, focusing on Adrulipase after discontinuing certain legacy biotechnology programs and completing the rescission transaction involving ImmunogenX, LLC on December 31, 2025. These R&D expenses include personnel costs, third-party fees, contract research organization expenses, manufacturing support, preclinical and regulatory activities, and evaluation of retained development assets.
