Fiserv, Inc. is a global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions serving merchants, banks, credit unions, financial institutions, and corporate and public sector clients. The company offers products and services including account processing, digital banking solutions, card issuer processing, network services, payments, e-commerce, merchant acquiring and processing, and the Clover® cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) and business management platform. Fiserv operates in the U.S. and Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. In 2025, the company reported $21.2 billion in total revenue, with 80% derived from processing and services revenue based on account- and transaction-based fees under multi-year contracts with high renewal rates. Fiserv has expanded through organic growth and acquisitions, broadening its product offerings and geographic presence. The Merchant segment provides commerce-enabling products and services to businesses of all sizes, including merchant acquiring, digital commerce, mobile payments, security and fraud protection, stored-value solutions, SaaS, POS devices, and pay-by-bank solutions. This segment comprises Small Business, serving small businesses and independent software vendors (ISVs) with Clover®; Enterprise, serving large businesses with an integrated omnichannel operating system; and Processing, serving financial institutions and resellers with merchant relationships. Distribution channels include direct sales, strategic partnerships, ISVs, independent sales organizations (ISOs), and financial institutions.
The registrant's Merchant segment offers commerce-enabling products and services worldwide to companies of various sizes. These offerings include merchant acquiring, digital commerce, mobile payment, security and fraud protection, stored-value solutions, software-as-a-service (SaaS), point-of-sale (POS) devices, and pay-by-bank solutions. The segment is organized into three business lines: Small Business, Enterprise, and Processing.
The Small Business line provides products and services to small businesses and independent software vendors (ISVs), including the Clover® POS and business management platform. The Enterprise line serves large businesses with an integrated omnichannel operating system. The Processing line delivers products and services to financial institutions, joint ventures, and third-party resellers with direct merchant relationships.
Distribution channels encompass direct sales and strategic partnerships with agent sales forces, ISVs, independent sales organizations (ISOs), financial institutions, and other strategic partners through joint ventures, revenue sharing, and referral agreements. The Small Business line supports secure payment acceptance both online and in-person, facilitates multi-channel commerce, and offers operational tools and financial services such as working capital access via the Clover Capital program. Clover integrates hardware and SaaS capabilities to support omnichannel commerce and is expanding globally in markets including Australia, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico, Belgium, Spain, and Japan. ISVs can embed secure payment capabilities into their platforms through Clover integration to scale and monetize transactions while providing secure payment experiences.
