Description of Black Rock Coffee Bar Inc
Black Rock Coffee Bar, founded in 2008 in Beaverton, Oregon by Daniel Brand and Jeff Hernandez, operates 181 drive-thru coffee bar locations across seven states as of December 31, 2025. Originally a drive-thru only concept, approximately 73% of its locations now include seating areas known as "lobbies." The company sources premium arabica coffee beans roasted in small batches at two company-owned facilities, supplying fresh beans weekly to its stores. Its menu includes customizable coffee beverages such as Nitro Cold Brew, Caramel Blondie, espresso drinks, and proprietary Iced and Frozen Fuel energy drinks, which represented about 24% of total revenue in 2025. The food offering, branded as "All-Day Breakfast," features savory and sweet items with regional and seasonal variations. Black Rock launched a loyalty rewards program in June 2024, which accounted for approximately 63% of total sales by the end of 2025, utilizing a mobile app and personalized offers to encourage repeat visits and increased guest spending.
