Planet Green Holdings's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The tea products industry in China is highly competitive and fragmented, particularly in the dark tea segment, which includes Qingzhuan tea, Pu-erh tea, Liubao tea, and other post-fermented teas. The market comprises numerous regional producers, traditional tea factories, agricultural cooperatives, local processing workshops, branded consumer tea companies, distributors, and e-commerce sellers, with no single entity holding a dominant nationwide market share. Within the dark tea category, the Company competes with established producers and brands in major tea-producing regions such as Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, and Yunnan. Larger competitors benefit from economies of scale in raw material procurement, vertically integrated production, wider distribution networks, and stronger financial and marketing resources. The Company also faces competition from smaller local tea processors, specialty tea merchants, and family-operated workshops that compete based on regional reputation, traditional craftsmanship, flexible pricing, and niche customer relationships. The tea production market remains fragmented at both raw material sourcing and finished product distribution levels, resulting in low barriers to entry for smaller participants.
