Renewables faces competition throughout the life cycles of its renewable energy facilities, including development, site procurement, and securing long-term renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) with power purchasers. It also competes in bilateral and organized energy markets with other energy sources for power not sold under PPAs. Competitive conditions are influenced by energy legislation and regulation at federal, state, and local levels. Networks owns electricity generation facilities regulated under cost of service regulation as of December 31, 2023.
