Western Uranium And Vanadium's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company operates in a global market for uranium and vanadium properties, ore processing mills, capital, customers, and qualified personnel. It competes with multiple exploration and producing companies worldwide, including government-controlled entities and larger, better-capitalized firms. The company also faces competition from secondary uranium supplies, such as inventory held by the Department of Energy, although DoE sales are currently suspended. Numerous entities operate in-situ recovery (ISR) facilities competing for properties. The company plans to construct its own uranium and vanadium mill by 2029 to reduce operational costs and improve margins. It intends to market uranium primarily based on price to utilities and commodity brokers, competing with multiple global uranium producers. In vanadium sales, competition is based mainly on availability and secondarily on price, with competitors including primary producers, secondary producers, and co-producers worldwide as supply deficits are addressed.
