Fvcbankcorp Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company is a locally owned and managed independent community bank headquartered in Northern Virginia. As of June 30, 2025, banking institutions in the Washington MSA held approximately $314.7 billion in total deposits. The primary market shares in this area are held by Capital One, Bank of America Corporation, Truist Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and PNC Bank. Excluding these institutions, the company’s deposit market share was approximately 1.9%. The company seeks to increase its market share through selective new branch openings, opportunistic acquisitions, and acquiring customers from larger competitors. It operates as a full-service financial provider in nearly all banking areas except trust services, focusing on competitively priced products, customer service, flexibility, and responsiveness. The banking industry in the Washington and Baltimore MSAs is highly competitive, with competitors including commercial banks, savings banks, credit unions, mortgage banking firms, consumer finance companies, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, money market mutual funds, financial technology companies, and other financial institutions. Competition for loans to small and middle-market businesses and professionals is intense, with pricing playing a significant role.
