Axim Biotechnologies Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company acquired technology and intellectual property from Advanced Tear, which requires other companies to submit a new 510(k) application and conduct clinical trials to manufacture similar diagnostic devices. The company anticipates demand for its MMP-9 quantitative test pending FDA 510(k) clearance. Its competitive landscape includes commercial pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, academic institutions, government agencies, and private and public research organizations. Competitors may develop products that are safer, more effective, or less expensive, potentially impacting the company's market opportunities. Many competitors possess greater financial resources and expertise in research, development, manufacturing, clinical trials, regulatory approvals, and marketing. Smaller or early-stage companies may also pose competition, particularly through partnerships with larger firms. Competition also exists in recruiting and retaining qualified scientific and management personnel. Advanced Tear is identified as a competitor in company filings.
