Provectus Biopharmaceuticals Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The company holds proprietary, patented pharmaceutical-grade rose bengal sodium (RBS), which it considers to have advantages over non-pharmaceutical-grade rose bengal used by various researchers, clinicians, and competitors. Non-pharmaceutical-grade rose bengal may present issues such as impurities, manufacturing variability, and inconsistent specifications. The pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries are competitive, with numerous companies—including large international firms and smaller entities—developing products in the targeted areas. Competitors may create products with similar functions that are less expensive, obtain regulatory approval more quickly, or achieve greater market acceptance. Many competitors have longer establishment histories, greater capital resources, broader internal structures for research, development, manufacturing, and marketing, and may be further advanced in their product development cycles.
