Bloomin Brands Inc's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

The restaurant industry is characterized by intense competition among established companies and new entrants, competing on factors such as price, service, location, and food quality. Competition also exists for management personnel, real estate locations, supplies, and restaurant employees. Marketing efforts and brand reputation play significant roles in competitive dynamics. All major casual dining restaurants in the company's operating markets are considered competitors. Additionally, competition is increasing from the supermarket industry, which provides a wider range of prepared meals, as well as from quick-service and fast-casual restaurants enhancing their product offerings and convenience.
