Competition for deposits is influenced by interest rates, office location convenience, alternative distribution channels, and service capabilities. Loan competition involves thrift institutions, national and state banks, mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, finance companies, and insurance companies. In the automotive finance sector, no single lender holds more than 10% of the used car financing market, with competitors maintaining significant national or regional market positions. The Company competes through loan and lease pricing, customer service, dealer relationships, transparent pricing via web-based credit application platforms, and a proprietary credit-scoring system.
