Oak Valley Bancorp's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

As of June 30, 2025, the Bank held approximately 1.9% of total deposits in its primary service area, which comprised 277 banking offices with about $90.8 billion in total deposits. The four largest competing banks in the area operated 132 branches, with deposits averaging approximately $499 million per office. The Bank faces competition from banks, savings institutions, credit unions, finance companies, leasing companies, insurance companies, brokerage firms, investment banking firms, and specialized finance and non-finance companies offering services such as money market and mutual funds, wholesale finance, credit cards, consumer finance, online banking, and personal finance software. Industry trends include increased consolidation and competition due to interstate banking legislation. The Bank competes by leveraging its independent status, specialized services, local promotions, personal contacts, arranging loan participations with other financial institutions, and obtaining services from correspondent banks.
