Welsbach Technology Metals Acquisition's Comment on Competition and Industry Peers

EM&T integrates recycling, midstream processing, and downstream magnet manufacturing within a single platform, distinguishing itself from competitors that operate at isolated stages of the value chain. Its rare earth magnet operations support large-scale domestic production with minimal reliance on foreign processing. EM&T's lithium-ion battery materials recycling converts feedstock into intermediate materials for battery manufacturing. Outside China, non-China rare earth magnet producers have announced approximately 30,000 tonnes per year of planned manufacturing capacity, representing about 15% of projected global demand outside China. Much of this capacity consists of low-performance magnets and is fragmented among smaller producers rather than integrated commercial-scale platforms.
