Description of Virtuix Holdings
Virtuix Holdings Inc. develops and markets omni-directional treadmills under the "Omni" brand, enabling users to walk and run in 360 degrees within virtual reality (VR) environments. Founded in 2013, the company has been publicly traded on Nasdaq since January 2026. Virtuix operates a vertically integrated business model that includes product design, game development, manufacturing, and distribution. Its flagship product, Omni One, launched in 2024, targets home entertainment by combining full-body movement with immersive VR gaming and fitness. The company serves consumer, enterprise, and defense markets, aiming for a 40% gross margin on hardware supplemented by recurring software and subscription revenues. Virtuix operates through four wholly owned subsidiaries located in Delaware, Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, and holds a 57.5% stake in Virtuix Arabia LLC, which has not yet commenced operations. The company previously formed a joint venture, Heroix VR (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., with Hero Entertainment to develop VR content for China and the U.S., but plans to close this joint venture by September 2026. Its product line has included Omni Pro, a commercial-grade treadmill launched in 2016 and discontinued after the release of Omni One, and Omni Arena, a multiplayer gaming attraction launched in 2019 that ceased new sales in 2025 but continues to generate recurring revenue through maintenance and game credits.
