Description of Tfi International Inc's Business Segments
The Group's operating segment results are regularly reviewed by the chief executive officer (CEO) for resource allocation and performance assessment. Financial information is available for each segment, including items directly attributable to the segment and those allocated on a reasonable basis. Unallocated items consist primarily of corporate assets, head office expenses, income tax assets, liabilities and expenses, as well as long-term debt and related interest expense. Sales between segments are measured at exchange amounts, while other transactions are measured at carrying value. Segment capital expenditure includes the total cost incurred to acquire property, equipment, and intangible assets excluding goodwill.
