Description of T1 Energy Inc

T1 Energy Inc., formerly FREYR Battery, Inc., is an energy solutions provider focused on developing an integrated U.S. solar supply chain for solar modules. The company manufactures and sells photovoltaic (PV) solar modules at its facility in Wilmer, Texas, which has a 5 GW annual production capacity. T1 is constructing a 2.1 GW PV solar cell fabrication facility in Milam County, Texas, expected to begin production by the end of 2026. The company specializes in advanced manufacturing of high-domestic content, high-efficiency solar products using Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact (PERC) and Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) technologies. T1 aims to establish an end-to-end American polysilicon solar supply chain through partnerships with Corning, Hemlock Semiconductor, Nextpower, and Treaty Oak. In December 2024, T1 acquired its Wilmer facility (G1_Dallas) from Trina Solar US Holding and entered into commercial support and technology licensing agreements with Trina Solar. The company has also restructured operations to comply with energy tax credit restrictions under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA).
