Description of Old Market Capital
Old Market Capital Corporation (OMCC) is a holding company that indirectly controls a 56.5% interest in Amplex Electric Inc, a broadband service provider. In April 2024, OMCC sold substantially all of its finance receivables and repossessed assets to Westlake Services, LLC, ceasing new loan originations and winding down its previous specialized consumer finance operations. In June 2024, OMCC acquired its interest in Amplex Electric through Amplex Holdings, a newly formed holding company. Amplex Electric offers broadband internet, voice over internet protocol (VOIP), and video services primarily in Northwest and North Central Ohio, serving approximately 13,000 broadband customers, including 4,400 fiber subscribers, as of March 31, 2025. Its customer base includes both residential and commercial clients. OMCC seeks to acquire additional controlling interests in other companies and sectors, focusing on opportunities with stable returns on invested capital. The company plans to increase intrinsic value per share by reinvesting capital in its existing subsidiary, strategic investments, and new income-generating ventures. Formerly known as Nicholas Financial, Inc., a consumer finance company incorporated in British Columbia in 1986, the company domesticated to Delaware in April 2024 and changed its name to Old Market Capital Corporation in September 2024. Its principal executive office is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Company operates in a single reportable segment: telecommunications. The Chief Executive Officer, serving as the chief operating decision maker, regularly reviews the Company's results and allocates resources within the Telecommunications segment, excluding Corporate and discontinued operations. All ongoing services are provided through an integrated network serving similar types of customers, supporting the identification of a single operating segment.
