EBR is a U.S.-based medical device company that developed the WiSE CRT System, an implantable cardiac pacing system designed to stimulate endocardial heart tissue without leads. The system is used in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) and operates alongside an implanted pacemaker, defibrillator, or CRT device capable of right ventricular pacing. It converts ultrasound energy into electrical energy to pace the left ventricle, replacing the function of a traditional left ventricular lead.
